per chi non avesse voglia di registrarsi...non ricordo se si può leggere senza averlo fatto...lo riporto di seguito:

However, I was given enough information about "rumors" of new announcements due later this week (or soon) to be able to convey this information:
* A successor to the 1DS Mark II will be announced. My contact suggested that squeezing more megapixels out of that sensor will not be the highest priority, since doing so would require smaller pixels with less light sensitivity. There's a likelihood that other improvements will be just as important, including more speed. The combined 1DS and 1D lines will finally arrive? Perhaps, or very close.
* There will be a successor to the 5D announced. Suggested is more frames per second, first and foremost. No word on the megapixel count. But it was suggested that it might be a bit higher.
* There will be an upgrade to the Rebel XT line. Since I wasn't very interested in this line, I didn't push for more information.
Bottom line is this: If you have a 1DS Mark II and want to get maximum value out of it before the announcement of the new camera starts to force prices down, now might be the time to sell. Same with 5D owners who want to stay on the cutting edge and have been less than happy with the 3fps that the 5D provides. Even 1D Mark II owners will want to be alert. If they can live with a camera that's perhaps a bit slower but offers much more resolution, it may make sense to sell the 1D Mark II quickly in preparation to buy the new, more versatile camera, if that is indeed what's being introduced.
Additionally, now might not be the best time to buy a new 1-series camera. You'll want to have all the information in hand to know just what's coming and therefore be better able to decide which way to go in terms of camera purchases.
Ask questions if you like. Call me names and a rumor monger. But anyway, this is what I gathered from my conversation. I was not taking notes. If you think I'm full of it you can just wait to see what plays out. |

La 1Ds e' gia' da mesi che non e' in produzione, anzi le scorte, sostiene Canon, bastano fino all'annuncio della nuova macchina che la sostituisce.
Notizia di qualche paio di mesi fa.
