The invitation from Canon Norway to photo press journalists in Norway states though that Canon in fact will introduce a "new" DSRL. Canon will also present new lenses (they are not spesific on the number), compact cameraes, projectors, printers and multi purpose machines.

The new DSLR will most probably be named Canon EOS 35D. Normally Canon change excisting models approx. every 18 months. Canon EOS 20D was launched in August 2004. EOS 35D is supposed to replace EOS 20D.

What features will EOS 35D most probably have? Obvioulsy there will be more pixels. With 10 Mp sensor the camea will not compete with EOS 5D which have 12 Mp. If the EOS 35D have 12 Mp or more, it will probably not be a full format sensor, but will defenitely compete with other consumer DSLRs on the market. The introduction of new lenses may suggest a 1,3x factor, othervise we will most probably see a sensor with 1,6x factor. Our latest information indicates a 10 Mp (CMOS) 1,3x camera, but these spesifications are not yet confirmed.

Two independent sources have now confirmed that the pictures we publish (please see the Norwegian version) show the real camera.

Letta così sembrerebbe meno fake, e l'autore dell'articolo non si sbilancia troppo sulle caratteristiche.
Quello che trovo più interessante sono le nuove ottiche che Canon si appresta a presentare:
Un rinnovato EF-S 17-85 IS USM ?
Qualche ottica EF-S come il tanto atteso 18-70 USM ?
La rinnovata versione del discusso 17-40 f4L ?
Il 70-200 F4L in versione IS.
L'offerta canon attuale è talmente ampia che fccio fatica a pensare a nuovi obiettivi che non siano ritocchi di quelli attuali, 70-300 IS USM doct.

E poi si parla anche di nuove stampanti, io spero, ma non ci credo, in una PIXMA 5000 con carrello allargato per stampe A3, sarebbe la mia stampante.
