Description:

CameraWindow Functional Improvement

Modified the design of CameraWindow displayed when camera is connected to a PC, and also improved its functionality.

*

The images within the camera can be largely displayed with shooting information. Also images within the camera and images within the PC can be displayed simultaneously.
*

In auto-download setting, an option is added to automatically download images from the camera to the shooting date folder within shooting year / month folders.
*

When the camera is connected to a PC, CameraWindow will start automatically. All cameras related functions (like MyCamera setting and Remote Shooting) can now be executed through this CameraWindow.

Improvement/New Functionality for Image Display

Improved the usability part of viewing images, and also added functions that are convenient for organizing images.

*

Enabled to set favorite level of the images with a 1 to 3 star rating, and to display/print only the favorite images. (Filtering function based on favorite level.)
*

Default setting of the favorite level is 2 stars, and this can be changed to 1 star or 3 stars. Also this star rating can be displayed below the thumbnail image. (In previous versions, users could only choose and search from two level ratings; either favorite or not.)
*

Favorite level can be set in the following places: Preview Mode, Property Window, Viewer, Slide Show, Menu and Context Menu (right-click menu).
*

In Zoom Mode, the displayed overall folder can be enlarged using a zoom slider bar.
*

In Scroll Mode, multiple sub-folders can be opened and images within those folders can now be viewed/selected simultaneously. (The sub-folder hierarchy is default 2 and maximum 5, and when this is changed to 0 the view will be like in version 4.) Also, when sub-folders are closed, a maximum of 5 images will be displayed per sub-folder.)

In Preview Mode, information view area can be chosen to be shown/hidden. Also, each individual information item can be chosen to be shown/hidden.
*

Forward/Back button was added to enable easy folder re-viewing.
*

A function to pop-up enlarged image(s) when a mouse pointer was placed over a folder or an image was added. (Useful when a large number of images or folders exist.)
*

Increased the information to be displayed with the image. (Comment, Shooting Date, Favorite Level, File Type. Able to choose viewed/not viewed.)
*

Added Shooting Date and Favorite Level as key for sorting thumbnails. Also, the list can be either top-down or bottom-up.
*

Images within the network drive can now be displayed. (However the folder will be displayed as read only.)
*

The initial setting of image selecting method has been aligned with that of Windows standard. (Possible to change to the image click-and-select method as in version 4).

Viewer Functional Improvement

Viewer function was largely improved:

*

Fast image display also for high-resolution images, and display of those in optimum magnification.
*

Forward/back button was added to the viewer to enable high-speed display of selected images or images within a folder.
*

Zoom slider and hand tool button was added to enable efficient viewing.
*

Button on the toolbar can set the image display size to the size in the Viewer window or to full screen.
*

RGB adjustment and red eye correction has been added to the image editing function.
*

Split screen function was added. This enables users to display 2 to 4 images at once and compare. Especially with the usage of the synchronize button, multiple images can be enlarged in the same magnification and the same positions of those multiple images can be compared, making this a useful feature for when selecting favorite images.

Task Sorting/Functional Improvement

The task type and function were sorted and re-organized. Also, some of the functions have been improved in certain tasks.

* Added View & Classify to the task items. For example, images already downloaded to the PC can be re-classified to each shooting date folder. (However images which do not own shooting date information will not be a subject of this function.)
* In the task for editing movies, another movie that has one part of the original movie enlarged can be created, and also the movie that has been shot in portrait position can be rotated.
