Welcome lobonz
Really nice shoot, it seems to talk about the long way to do, the future life of these children.
The black border is a strange frame, as the border stops in the water... I cannot understand if it's real or not

what a beautifull picture lobonz, my compliments!
Just a pair of personal notes (just my pov), hope you like them..
maybe more upper space (more sky) and less lower (less sea) could give the photo a sensation of wider horizon.. how can I say.. more space to the future?
You show us also an interesting postwork job.. first time I see this kind of frame, really original, but I think you can improve it.
After the first look you can see a little perspective incongruence, just where water touch legs. Seems like two different inclination planes: water before boys and water further boys.
Trying to say in a different way: the picture was shooted with a tele, but the first plane looks like a wide lens shooting attachment.
Try to progressively out of focus this area, simulating the same tele dept of field.
oh.. welcome to photo4u.it! _________________

Hello lobo! and welcome in our out-of-brain comunity!
I like your pic very much. It gives a very important message, and it does in a simple way (the best way to be immediately understood).
I think however, that it is not in correct section of the forum.
This beautifull portrait would be more appreciated in the section "Ritratto" (that means portrait), or also in the "Artwork" section in which we usually put the photos that has had some post-porduction (except from standard fine tuning such as contrast, brightness, white balance, and something like that).
I'd suggetst you also to present yourself in our "new entry" section (in italian is "Per i nuovi utenti" and you can find it following this link http://www.photo4u.it/viewforum.php?f=71 ).
You will find lots of people that will welcome you!
Be ready for the lots of questions that our users will ask you!
Bye! _________________

Your shot is very nice for what it regards the two children and their look "to infinity and beyond" .... Actually the Flood filter applied in Photoshop IMHO gives to this beautiful picture a sort of "cheap" effect, that definitely I think was not needed. Anyway, all in all a good idea for the frame melting into water.
Welcome between us!

the flood effect is well done but the perspective a bit aprossimatively.. and you should blur it a little cause of the F you used, childrens have to be the only thing in focus
anyways I like it... have you tried off centering the subject? and what about colors? |

Well done lobonz...this image is simply wonderful. I love the soft tone of your BW...and the children are looking to the future...I hope not so far.
Have a nice day.
Felix.
